Meet with lead instructor, Michele Hanks
Michele Hanks is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Expository Writing Program. She received a PhD in Anthropology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. As a writing professor, her expertise lies in working with engineering students and English language learners. She enjoys helping writers understand how to move among the various genres that STEM writers need to navigate. Her writing has appeared in journals like American Anthropologist, Ethnos, Nova Religio, Focaal, and American Ethnologist. Her book, Haunted Heritage, was published in 2015 by Routledge.
